Hi all, i'm buying a new Motherboard and CPU, i will mainly use the computer for gaming.

I have an HD 6850.

My question is which CPU to get, I doubt between:

G850
i3 3220
i5 3470

I know they have different prices but I will really get more FPS getting i5 over g850 for example?

I don't know if getting i5 deserves it. Any tips will be apreciated

Depends on what games. With games where there is many people on screen at once, like BF3 64 peeps, guildwars 2 WvWvW, or just high speced games like Skyrim then it is really important. If you mostly play single player with limited amounts of people then the i3 will probably serve you fine.

If you have the budget for an i5, then go for the i5. It's actually in line for value, in addition to being the best gaming CPU on the market. But what uberperson said is true, it's possible (yet very unlikely, in my opinion) that for your gaming needs you wouldn't want to spend the extra for the i5.
