How to make memory stick play music on any device

Hello,
I have downloaded music (CDs) from the harddrive on my computer to a memory stick, but cannot play it on any other device.

What are these 'other devices'?
What type of files did you create from your music CDs?

For best compatibility, format the pendrive as FAT/FAT16 and use MP3 as the audio format.

Any computer/operating system, car audios with aux. usb connections, even a router with usb connections hould be able read/play the files.

You likely have the stick formated to NTFS which most do not support, so reformat to FAT, either version should be fine.
