Of course not all game "MAXED out" but you will be able to RUN all games now and in the future yes, and yes i think that your CPU will be a little bottleneck on CPU demanding games but that is normal...

I can tell, that is a good graphics card, for playing at high settings at resolutions under 1920x1080, if you are having a good price on it, go for it, so maybe in a future you can upgrade all your computer, and still keep using that video card.

but again that is a good card for High settings (not maxed out) and at resolutions over 1080p it will probably require lowering more graphical settings.

But if the price is good, it is a great card.

hi thanks so much for the reply...just so that i get it right..
your saying that i will not be able to play on max because of my processor and ram, not because of 550ti right? so graphic card wise i would not have a problem at 1280*1024 but it will be the processor pulling performance down?
and will a 400watt psu be suffcient ?

the cpu and ram is not an issues for maxing out the games the issues is that the gpu will start legging the games if u maxed out the games with 2 or 4xaa at max with that resolution will be ok you will get about good fps in games but in my opinion the hd 6790 would be an better way to go instead of 550ti really hd 6790 worth the money if u like nvidia gpus then gtx 550ti will be ok for you and it will max some games which doesnt use alot cpu and gpu in games and 400w psu will be good with that card just make sure that you have an single pcie 6 pin connector.:)

requirments you can see here:- http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-550ti/specifications

comparisons between hd6790 and gtx550ti show that 550ti has a superior pixel rate than hd6790....(61% better
http://www.hwcompare.com/9964/geforce-gtx-550-ti-vs-radeon-hd-6790/

will that be a problem? which one should i buy?

no that will not be a problem and hwcompare only compares the theotrical data not the performance of the card.

see this review then u will understand which one is better.

okay so i think m gono go with an ati 6790 and not 550ti...i wana play all games at 1280*1024 and i wont be upgrading anything else..

is it a good call? should i go ahead with ati 6790 and scratch 550ti?
