Oddworld:Strangers Wrath

I'm near the end of the game, but I am looking for some help..

OTHER THAN CHEATING, is there any real way to make it to wherever (Sekto's
office, I think..I've lost track..) you need to go in the dam in the 3 1/2
minutes it gives you? I've tried everything, but I either die all on my
own, or the time runs out.

I've even tried sprinting through the whole thing while trying to avid
getting shot, etc, but to no avail..

Anyone?

I bought the binoculars - now.... How do I use 'em?
