Best Gaming Monitor at 2560x1400

Hello all

Title says it all: Best gaming monitor at 2560x1400 to match my GTX680 =)

I really like the Dell U2711, but its two years old.

What does everyone recommend or is it still the Dell? I will not be playing in 3D mode!

Pretty much all 27" monitors are goin gto be rather pricey, at least for a quality display.

Never heard of that company. I rather go with a brand name monitor. looking for under $1000.00. Needs to last me over 5yrs.

Just because it is old does not mean it is bad. I would recommend the Dell U2711.

However, I'd rather go for a 30" 2560x1600 monitor like the Dell U3011 because text on a 27" 2560x1440 monitor would be a bit too small for my tastes. Plus I prefer 16:10 aspect ratio monitors.

I wouldn't touch DoubleSight. In general they have quality control issues.

Ya. def. not saying old is bad. I love the monitor but its a pretty hefty price tag. Don't mind paying for it.

I would say look at the HP 2711x as it's relatively cheap, but it is only 1920x1080.

Other options are the SAMSUNG S27A850D, HP ZR30w, and of course the Dell UltraSharp U2711.

Thanks sk1939...anyone really puts it into perpesctive..2 year old monitor thats still holdings its price up for so long....thinking if I want to wait for the new Ultrasharp series..but god knows when thats going to be..
