Currently if you want a new one check out this
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=a9_sc_1?rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Aradeon+5970&keywords=radeon+5970&ie=UTF8&qid=1335498783
this one seems the cheapest

May I ask why you want a 5970? Looking to CF a pair? Only reason I ask is because for the same price you can get a card that performs about the same to a bit better and that is much more power efficient.

Your cheapest link goes to a 6970 not a 5970

I want a 5970 because it was the last and best card manufactured by ATI before AMD bought them. So if I can't find a 5970 I'll go with a 4870 x2.

I will not pay $850 for a card, I might as well go with eBay I've found deals for around $300 NEW. But if you got any other ideas that would be great!

I sold my 5970 on ebay so look there as it is about the only place to find one. I would say however that the newer amd cards are superior. Lower power draw, cooler and better controlled thermal envelopes, and support for improved graphic rendering.

AMD bought ATI back around 2006, Im guess that is around the time of the x1900xt series graphics cards and the 580x (crossfire) chipset, but hey, the 7970 is prolly 33 or 50% faster depending on how you do your math
