Hi.

Built my first pc. its an i5 2500k rig with 8gb of ram. I dont have the cash to buy my gpu just yet so i wass wondering just how good is the onboard hd3000 graphics?

I'm not expecting to be blown away just wanna mess around with some games like ARMA 2 and some simulator games.

Will using the hd3000 graphic while playing these type of games stress out the cpu to breaking point?

Any answers will be well recieved.

The GPU is designed to work with the CPU. Use it, but don't expect the greatest performance from it in games.

but i believe if you run at low settings and can crank up the GPU speed in your bios . .well you'll "see something"

igpu sux for "actual" games (2011-2012 games). Whit a gt540 or 6650 you will get a big diference.
