I7-2600k vs i7-3770k

Hey there,

I was wondering wich one of those was the best cpu. They are both the same price, so money is not an issue for this thread. This is for gaming. A little bit of video editing. I want a good cpu that will last for years. Best long term cpu is needed.

The 3770K is newer and a little bit faster with newer tech so go for it!

I have both running side by side, no huge difference between the two, but the 3770k is my primary system.

The 3770K perform a lot better, and the architecture of 3770K is 22nm instead of 2600K's 32nm. Which means that you can utilise PCIe 3.0 (Which is the slot of Nvidias 600 series) much better.
