i have desktop that configures..... core i7 3770 processor,intel DB75EN motherboard, seagate barracuda 7200rpm HDD,Asus 24x DVD Writer, 4gb Starlite RAM @ 1333 mhz, cooler master CMP 350 cabinet, SMPS - COOLER MASTER ELITE - RS-400-PSAR-I3.

I do not have any discreet graphics card . Iwant to install RADEON HD 7770 in my system.

I have heard that RADEON HD 7770 needs 500w or more POWER SUPPLY.

NOW PLEASE TELL ME THAT IF I INSTALL RADEON HD 7770 , then WILL MY INSTALLED SMPS ( above mentioned SMPS) COULD RUN MY MACHINE AND SUPPLY ENOUGH POWER TO RUN RADEON HD 7770 ALONGWITH THE ABOVE MENTIONED CORE I7 3770 processor,DB75EN motherboard, 1tb seagate barracuda 7200 rpm hdd, asus 24x dvd writer, 4 gb starlite RAM @ 1333 mhz.... SMOOTHLY ?

PLEASE HELP ME..........

Thats for the whole system not just the GPU.

A quality 550W would be fine.

It should work but although the Elite400 is actually capable of delivering over 400W, it is not a particularly good PSU (noisy outputs according to HardwareSecrets review) so mileage may vary.

Most of the time, PSUs fry themselves before frying anything else so the likelihood of frying anything by trying is low.

Lemons can happen even with the best models from the best brands so unless you buy a model/brand that is known for almost systematically frying components, I would not lose much sleep over it.
