Im building myself a new computer once all the parts get here (purchased on 6/19)....the last thing Im waiting on is the power supply. I ordered the XFX PRO750W XXX edition power supply from newegg (4 eggs with 20 reviews) but now am seriously rethinking the choice. Should I switch to the CORSAIR Professional Series HX750 (5 eggs with 600 reviews) and just return the old one (after shipping theyd probably even out so i wouldnt have lost or gained money) or stick with what I have?

Lastly, I bought the Sapphire HD 6950 OC because it was in my budget and also came with BF3 which I was planning on buying anyhow (Dirt 3 might be fun too tho!), Im thinking that maybe I should upgrade it to keep up with the rest of the build quality...suggestions for my predicaments or ideas? I really dont want to spend $400 on a GPU tho. Anyways, Im all ears!

Purpose: Gaming, Movies, some digital art
Overclocking: Yes
Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050 monitor and maybe 1080p for my 42' TV

I think it is natural to have 'buyers remorse' or second thoughts after spending a lot of money.

I would stick with what you got.

XFX PSUs are high quality as they are made by Seasonic and they are backed by an excellent warranty.

You are going to have a great experience with a 6950 also, especially with that game package.

It is a lot of hassle to process returns plus you are going to lose money at some point in the process.

I would stick with what you have and enjoy your gaming days ahead. You have a good system on the way.

I would switch PSUs, but only because the HX750 is only $2 more expensive.
If you will be doing serious overclocking with voltage tweaks to th GPU, the 7850 is better. It really depends, though BF3 for free is a nice deal, the 7850 is newer and a tad faster. Also, you don't need 750 watts; 650 is more than sufficient.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking about in the future adding another 6950 but now Im thinking Ill probably just upgrade the GPU altogether in about 2 years. 650W should still be sufficient but would you possibly know any good 650W PSU's to recommend? Itd be best if I could get it at Microcenter so I could just build the comp tomorrow....Ive heard good things about these:
EarthWatts Green Series 650W: http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0361175

Any thoughts?

Thanks again!

You need a aftermarket cooler if you plan to oc cpu CPU Cooler:COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO RR-212E-20PK-R2 Continuous Direct Contact 120mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Compatible with latest Intel 2011/1366/1155 and AMD FM1/AM3+
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 $34.99 and you need low profile ram in sets it's better and also so it does not conflict with heat sink here take your pick RAM:G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR

Thanks guys, I think Im going to stick with what I have after your comments. I wish I would have gone with the corsair PSU initially but I dont feel like paying for shipping it back and a 15% restocking fee. Thanks for making sure everything worked and although 750W is overkill....Im fine with that! lol

Also, Bigcyco1 the ram I have is the same as what you listed except I got it from Amazon (and its brighter blue lol) so I should be good to go. I forgot to list it but Im getting the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ for my CPU cooler which is why I went with the low profile ram. Ill also be making sure to change the bios if necessary to read the 1600.

Thanks again!

It is always good to work with a little surplus over what your system needs. That is a good thing. Congratulations on your system. You are going to have a lot of fun.
