The home page has now changed, but not the rest of the website

Right you are! The new logos have been added - the new forum platform is still a few weeks off.

I'd like to ask about the embedding of videos inside posts. In particular, from Youtube.

I've tried passing arguments to the flash tags and experimenting from there, but nothing works.

Are you guys going to support them?

Cheers!

This is absolutely something we're hoping to have in short order with the new platform.

It does work (the embed buttons don't, you have to do it manually), but if you don't get the syntax exactly right it won't show. I can't remember exactly what you have to do though.

im noticing a lot of sites are causing my system to freeze completely when i browse with opera. tom's has become 1 of them. whats changed?
also having issues with slow loading of menus and tabs. tabs showing up as white blocks with no text... i guess its down to opera and an incompatibility with something the forum is now using.

user status?
whats gonna be the standard to tell users apart, from them that know and earn there rep as opposed to spammers who just throw up answers just to get points...
its the 1 thing that has been my pet peeve on the forum. that people like me who actually help get the same recognition as some 1 who just post a hundred +1^'s
reason i ask is i have 1 email which i receive all my best answer notifications and i have about 230 (not all have shown up) i earned most of em in the pc games section but have nothing to show for it.

Badges will definitely be a good way to tell veteran, solid users from the rest of the masses. And you'll be able to figure out really quickly whether or not a response is coming from a somewhat trusted user or a newbie account.
