After checking the checkbox "Install files for East Asian languages" under
the tab "Languages" in Control Panel > Regional and Language Options, the
install starts. After 20 minutes, the dialog says that it cant find a few
files, and will continue the installation. Again, the dialog will pop up
telling me that another file can not be found. This happens over a period of
an hour, maybe two. I require the East Asian language packages, but I can not
seem to install them. Any suggestions?

Insert your Windows XP installation CD in the CD drive,
then begin the process of installing East Asian Languages.
