Well, to be honest, you will get more performance and more future-proofing if you get a Z77 plataform, why? becuase your budge is some what low, X79 plataform is for HIGH END PCs, putting a 3820 in a X79 plataform is like putting Ford´s fiesta wheels to a Ferrari, this will build is the best your money can buy: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/aDW4 total: 1357.94$

btw, i see you like AMD GPUs.... well for low ends pcs yes...amd is usually better but your budget allows you to buy a high end card like a GTX 680 wich outperforms any amd card, and games (BF3,metro 2033) are usually more optimized for nvidia cards

there is not such thing as a motherboard that is capable of using SB-e and IB (or IB-e)

Cool thanks for the input. I was also wondering if getting the Momentus XT is worth it instead of the individual combo of SSD and HDD?

eeewww...hell no, a REAL SSD will give waaaay more performance than the crappy "SSD" in the momentus XT

if you buy the 750GB version with 8GB of nand flash you get a total of 758GB for 171$ BUT if you get the Samsung spingpoint F3 1TB and the Crucial m4 128gb you get 1128GB for 230, there is only a 60$ diference but a 370GB diference.... and lets not talk about performance because you will have the momentus XT, do yourself a favor and buy the rig i listed, and if you havent bought the case buy the NXZT Phantom 410 for 99$ is awesome

You re welcome! btw instead of getting a GTX 680 you can get Dual GTX 670s, that will increase your performance by ALOOOOOOOOT but it will increase your system cost about 350$ more making it a 1700$ system (excluding the case)
