GeForce 9800 GT hangs Windows 7 startup?

Ive recently upgraded my rig and installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on it. After that its been hanging at "starting windows" screen, I did some test's and found out the reason it was hanging was because of my graphics card. Without it plugged in my computer starts up fine. I've downloaded latest drivers, updated bios..etc. The graphics card isn't dead because ive tried it on another system and it boots up fine. So what's the deal? and how can I fix this? any information is appreciated!

I have the same problem with a 9800GT video card. how did you solve this probem?

Sadly I didn't get it solved, I went out and bought a new VGA that worked with my build. Gave the 9800 gt to another computer because it was still working. Somebody mentioned something about ME drivers but im not sure what that is.
