Hello,
i want to upgrade my cpu but i dont no what my mother board can handle

hi there these are the numbers ive got fro the board 686 AMIBIOS 1999, wd36 7232 and the other number is 001853DF800 but if it helps the computer is acer aspire M1641 with intel celeron E1200 @ 1.60ghz any help appreciated thanks

well thats a 775 pin cpu. without knowing what specific motherboard is in there its hard to say what you can put in it.

but 775 pin cpus arent cheap, so you prob best off building a new cheap box.

ok thanks how can i find out the exact motherboard type please ive been trying for a while with no joy

download cpu-z.

it will tell you model number of your motherboard.

i beleive your system is on a nvidia chipset with built in graphics. the upgradeability isnt going to be very great.
