FRAPS BF3 on GTX 560ti problems

Hi guys

I have a GTX 560ti, i5 760, 8gb DDR3, and 2 hard drives. I play battlefield 3 on low settings, and not recording i get 110 FPS.
When i hit record, it drops to like 30, and i get stutters which make it very hard to aim. Any help here?

  1. Try changing the settings in Fraps on the "Movies" tab to record at 60 fps, then try again.

+1 It records at 30 FPS by default and the highest you can go is 60 FPS.
  3. Okay thanks guys im going to try that today and see how it goes. I also turned off "Lock framerate while recording". Good idea or not?
  4. Since you have 2 hard drives, probably the best thing to do would be to record to a different hard drive. That was (from what I understand) your computer isn't having to read data for the game from one HDD while writing to that same HDD.
    Hope it helps...
  5. so how did it go?
