FRAPS BF3 on GTX 560ti problems

Hi guys

I have a GTX 560ti, i5 760, 8gb DDR3, and 2 hard drives. I play battlefield 3 on low settings, and not recording i get 110 FPS.
When i hit record, it drops to like 30, and i get stutters which make it very hard to aim. Any help here?

Try changing the settings in Fraps on the "Movies" tab to record at 60 fps, then try again.

+1 It records at 30 FPS by default and the highest you can go is 60 FPS.

Okay thanks guys im going to try that today and see how it goes. I also turned off "Lock framerate while recording". Good idea or not?

Since you have 2 hard drives, probably the best thing to do would be to record to a different hard drive. That was (from what I understand) your computer isn't having to read data for the game from one HDD while writing to that same HDD.
