Ok, new to the board and this is my first post.

I just built a new pc and I was wondering for those who use a pentium d what kinda cpu temps are you getting?

I have the following
Intel Pentium D 820
Artic Silver 5
Zalman 7700 Aluminum-Copper Cooler
Idle - 47 deg
Load - 55deg

I don't think these temps are normal are they? Shouldn't they be lower?
And I've got a Vantec Tornado (up to 85CFM) as an exhaust fan in the rear.

Those are great temps for Intel. My AMD x2 3800 runs 38C idle and 44C max. As long as your POS is under 65C you got a lucky chip.

EDIT: POS should read Intel.

lol thanks for calling my cpu a POS lol (I know) I just built it cuz i needed a temporary pc for the time being cuz my other pc is getting old and i got the cpu, mobo, winxp pro full, and 2 adobe elements softwares for $220 shipped directly from intel. But I will be giving this system to a friend in a couple of months for his first build and i'm building a new system for me,which is gonna be for sure an AMD dual core. Thanks for the replies.
