I recently purchased a Plextor 16x IDE (also have Pioneer 106 DVD-ROM) that came with Plextor tools. So I wanted another program that would directly copy files to it like to a floppy. I tried to install DirectCD 5.0 and I got this message at the begining of the installation: "The installation software did not find at least one supported drive in this computer system".

Why did I get this message. The drive performes great and DirectCD 5.0 supports my CD-RW.

HELP!!!I really want to use DirectCD.

Try installing Easy CD Creator first. I'm not sure if that would help, but it's worth a try.

I don't have Easy CD Creator (could get it) but I'm pretty sure this won't work

I don't really know then; I was thinking that installing it would put in the generic "Adaptec/Roxio" drivers.
