CPU Temp and Fan RPM

Hey Guys . im using a P4 3.2GHz CPU and a very cheap cooler. now that im getting a new E8400 CPU i wanted to see if im gonna need a better cooler . so i took a test . this is CPU temp and fan RPM after stabilizing in full load :

so what do you think ? isnt RPM just low ?

I would say your temperatures are fairly good for a cheap cooler. Do you know what the TDP of your Pentium 4 is? And what of your new cpu? In addition, I would say 2500 is not low but rather in the middle of fast and slow. I would say 3000 rpm+ is fast while below 1500 is slow.

My current p4 : Max TDP : 86W
e8400 : Max TDP : 65W

now what does that mean ?!

Well your cooler will work better on the e8400 since it produces less heat compared to the Pentium 4. So expect to get better temperatures
