Asus U46E problem with turning on

My Asus U46E is having problem with turning on. I could open it now even I tried to recharge it. When I press turn on button, there is light but the screen is black blank.

I'm not quite sure what happen to it.

The battery might have broken, or the button that turns it on might have something wrong with it too.

I'm not quite sure what happen to it.

I find my ASUS U46E not responding, with some LEDs on and a black screen. If I unplug it (with the battery taken out) and plug it back in, it is still not responding, but part of it works (optical disc, LEDs). If I wait some time (a few hours) and retry plugging it in, it comes back to life.
My solution is to not let it go to sleep, ever. I set the Power Options (under Control Panel) so that it goes to hibernate. (Hibernate is available in Windows 8.1: http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/add-hibernation-option-windows-8-1-power-user-menu/).
