Mouse turning off when moving

I am using a Steel Series WoW Legendary MMO gaming mouse on my laptop. Recently, whenever I move it, it turns off and I either have to wait for it to turn on again or unplug and plug the mouse back in. I've tried all the USB ports on the laptop and another mouse works with it. Any suggestions?
