Three monitors on 5850CF. How to do?

Hello, my plan is to have three hdmi monitors hooked up with eyefinity for guild wars 2. My problem with that the card only has two hdmi slots. Does this mean I will have to hook up the 3rd monitor using its DVI connector or can I hook the 3rd monitor to the second GPU.

You will need to hook all 3 monitors to one gpu for eyefinity. For eyefinity to be enabled you MUST connect the 3rd monitor via the displayport. If you do not have a monitor that is displayport capable, you will need an ACTIVE displayport adaptor. A list of approved dongles can be found in this link.

with that series card,I believe on mine I had to have 2 in dvi and one with active display port adapter.Again,all 3 have to be plugged into the primary cards.

Thought it was 2 hdmi ports on my card while it was 1 hdmi and a displayport. I feel stupid now.

Don't feel stupid. Eyefinity scared me too at first. Make sure to get an Active displayport. WARNING, they aren't cheap! At least $30, The Active ones are @$100.
