I just ordered a Radeon 7770 to replace my 5670 and was wondering what I can overclock it on air at. I got a 3000RPM fan hooked to my case which is loud but my 5670 usually runs around 45 degrees C at 100% load at 850MHz and my Phenom 1090T @ 3.6GHz usually runs about 2 degrees C warmer then room temperature and 40-50 at 100% on hot day with stock cooler. I thought knowing the my system has above cooling would help with my question. Is it possible to get it to 1.4 or even 1.5GHz on air with my 3000RPM on my case? I guess it would be close to having a basic liquid cooling setup. I usually use the EVGA Precision X to overclock. Yes it supports AMD cards too.

Solution
The AMD Radeon 7770 would be very very unstable, even at 1.2GHz, I was lucky enough to have it at 1107MHz, one MHz higher would cause it to crash. I can only achieve 100% stability at 1082MHz.
Of course, those are without a voltage increase, I don't want the risk of frying my card.

-Hope it helps! :)
