In the time it took you to place this message, you could have Googled
and gotten the information you're looking for.

vistaprint.com I have had cards made there several times, high quality
thick business cards, very nice, no regrets at all. You can even upload and
use your own image for the card, or pick from many they have. Sometimes
they run specials, try vistaprint.com/august and see if there is a special
price discount.

We use them, too. Good work, good price.

Don't have an on-line printing rec., but for the layout, you need to do a lot
of thinking about who you are hoping to attract with the cards. Same for your
logo, and I'd say to use the logo, or a variation of it on the card,
stationary, envelopes, mailing labels, etc. The more that clients see the
logo, the easier it is to remember.
In you assessment of your target audience, think about what others are doing
in that field, i.e. if you want to do weddings, look in the "bride's" mags for
ads, etc. If you want corporate, head to the business journals for that genre
of service/product.
I'd suggest hooking up with a designer, who has done identity work before, and
offer some sort of trade-out for their design work. That is what they get paid
for.
As for color, think about your audience, once more. I use tones of the Desert
Southwest, but that is where I'm located. Also, most of my clients are
architectural firms, or their ad agencies, many in the Desert Southwest.
Lastly, tell the prospective client how you can be reached, with e-mail, Web
site, phone, cell, FAX, plus a mailing address. Beyond that, only a tag-line
about what you do, is about all you'll have room for.
I'd also either go with a standard size, or something so crazy, that it can't
help but standout. Only problem is if they can't store it conveniently, it'll
get stored in the trash - a caveat.
