GTX 680 - Will it work?

Hey guys,

my specs:
i7 870 @ 2.93 GHz
8GB Kingston DDR3 - 1333 MHZ
ASUS P7H55 Socket 1156
current videocard: GT240 1GB DDR3

I'm going to buy the Point of View GTX 680. First off is Point of View a good brand?
And the second question, Will this videocard work with my motherboard? Won't it destroy the motherboard for some reason because it's too high end?
