Got new memory. Supposed to up the Vaio's memory to 192. The memory module was phyisically bigger than the one I removed. Upon restart, computer says same memory as before. Must I make a BIOS change? I'm screwed here if 'yes' to this cuz I lost my BIOS password! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Scott
I don't know which Vaio model you're talking about, so I don't know of the limitations on the memory. I suggest you check that out, or head off to crucial.com and use their "memory finder" feature to find out what your system will support.
