I finally managed to get my hands on a Vonage adapter for very cheep and now I can replace the old Linksys WRTP54G. For some idea why; when we plug the cable modem strait into a computer we get a speedtest.net result of around 30Mbps and though the router we get only about 9Mbps. We have also had a long running case of the gremlins for WiFi in our house. Both this this model (two separate ones of the same model) and our last model of router.

Based on what I know; this is what requirements I have:

*Name brand: Netgear, Linksys, D-Link, or Asus
*Simultaneous duel-band (could also use a simultaneous dual-band usb adapter)
*USB port(s) are optional

Linksys does not have a simultaneous dual-band usb adapter. They only have a selectable duel-band usb adapter.
