Amd quad core a8 4500m or intel core i5(dual or quad core)?

Hello,
I want to buy a laptop.my budget is max 35,000 Rs.....but I can increase it to 40,000 Rs if I get something best.My need is fast performance with multiple apps running at a time including some high end graphics softwares.
WHich processor should i go for?
I have finalised(researched) the following processors:
AMD A8 4500 quad core
Intel core i5 (which one is better 2nd gen or 3rd gen? ) + 1 GB graphics card


Plz anybody give me reasonable suggestion.also suggest me branded laptops avalable in indian market.

If you are not going to do gaming, you should go with the i5 which is better at multitasking.

no I5 IS better at gaming a AMD processor is better for programs that use ram and threads due to it archtiture

That wasn't even relevant to this thread... We're talking about an A8 vs. an i5 here. The i5 wins in every situation imaginable except for possibly if you're only using the iGPU.
