I have had an APC Back UPS ES 350 for quite some time now, and lately it has been making a clicking every now and then, and occationally beeps both when my PC is on and also in middle of the night when it is off. I have been looking into the problem, and realized that I am probably overloading the UPS (200W capacity vs apx 400W PC draw), but that doesn't explain why it trips when no power to PC. About 6 months ago i upgraded my PSU to a Corsair TX650, which has Active PFC...could this be the problem? Or do I simply need a new battery?

I was just given a used APC Back UPS XS900 that I am not sure if works or not. Would it be worth getting a new battery and using this one?

If it is used ups "do not" bother to buy new batteries or battery. Just buy a new ups if possible. Right now I have a dead ups with two brand new battery.
