Hi all.

As the title says I am wondering if a 6 pin rail can behave exactly as a 6+2/8 pin.

The PSU I am going to buy is a NZXT Hale90 750w.

To make it clearer what I am asking,is running a 2-way sli GTX 690 with a PSU with 2x 6 pin + adapter to 8 pin and 2x 6+2/8pin the same as using 4x 6+2/8 pin?Lets assume both PSUs are 1200w and equal +12v amp.

Should I buy a different PSU to get 4x 6+2/8 pin connecters?

So to sum it all up,using an adapter provides the same stability as if using a "true" 8 pin pci-e right?
