I am currently running on XP SP2, and I’ve noticed that on other people’s
computers, while they click and drag on any given spot, the selected area is
a translucent blue colour. (It looks like the picture in this link:
http://images.s5.com/dragover.bmp) I would like to know how exactly to do
that. Thanks for your time.

Hi,

Right click on My Computer and select properties. Flip to the advanced tab and click on settings
under performance. Under the list of visual effects, check "Show translucent selection rectangle".
