PC2100 ECC or PC2100

Iam currently using samsung PC2100 in my ASUS A7M266 motherboard with an Athalon T-Bird 1.2 GHZ. I ask a fellow worker to order me some more memory and by mistake he order Crucial PC2100 ECC. Can you mix brands and ECC and non-ECC. Both are 256 MB

You cannot use ECC with mixed memory. While some systems will actually work with both installed, ECC will be disabled. Having ECC enabled is also a little slower because it takes a brief amount of time to check for errors. So I would try it, and see if it works with ECC disabled.
