Which tv tuner card is best for lcd monitor

Hello,
AM GAGAN, just want to know that which one is better.. exterbal one or internal ?
i have 26'' asus LCD and want atleast a resolution of 1280x 1080p

I've been using Hauppauge TV cards for years with no problems. The resolution thats shown isnt up to the card but up to the signal. Basically you get SD (standard definition) and HD (high Def) just like on a standard TV. You can always resize the window you're watching TV on, but the actual resolution of the video doesnt change.
