New HD 7750 seems to have interference on VGA output

Just got a HD 7750, installed the latest gigabyte drivers from the site.

On my monitor it now looks like there is some kind of interference on the screen. Particularly on a white background. It reminds me a bit like the interference on old analogue TVs. How can I fix this and why is it happening?

My Monitor is 1280 x 1024 though, so I need the correct aspect ratio.

I have never had this before, and my onboard graphics works fine.

I have turned the resolution down and it seems to have fixed it, but it looks wrong now.

Is this a drivers problem?

Right, I think I will be upgrading to a HDMI monitor then.

Will test it out on my HDMI tv first though.

I actually just got a ASUS 7850 and am experiencing the same issue. Problem is I've rocked out an BFG 8800GT and a XFX 4870 on the same monitor since around 2008 and only now do I have this issue. Also, the HDMI to HDMI connection (my monitor doesn't have DVI, no clue why) is HORRIBLE though I think it may be my monitor. I just want VGA to work fine like it has on my past two cards for the past four years.
