Hi

I'm still spec'ing out a system and trying to decide on the PSU; of which I know nothing.

The spec so far:

Bulldozer 8120 (overclocked)
Noctua D14
Sabretooth FX 990
32GB Ram
basic graphics card
8 Sata HDD drives.
Fractal R3 Case (ie quiet)

The PSU obviously needs enough outputs for the sata drives

I would also like it to be efficient, quiet and the brand/model to have execellent reliability.

Any suggestion would be gratefully received.

Thanks Charlie101

It looks excellent.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Charlie - this is more than you need, but if you can purch today, this is an outstanding value
as it is a top shelf product, Seasonic X-750 Gold for under $100USD.

Tom

That is what I paid for my Seasonic X-650 and I was super happy with that deal

As much as I love that Seasonic ( and that's a GREAT price, ) it only lists 8 SATA connections. You'll need to get a molex to SATA adapter for any optical drives.

Hi toyftw

Unfortunately I'm in the UK and the best price I could find was £150 which doesn't look so good.

Thanks anyway.
