Windows 7 how do i move large files

I have a 30 GB file on my desktop and I want to move it to an external hard drive. In Win 7 it just won't go! Cut/paste, move to, nothing. How can it be done?

  1. Try a utility like fastcopy.

If not, it might just be taking a long time. You might just want to wait for windows to finish its stuff.

+1 -- (If formatted under FAT32 the max file size is 4GB and anything over that will not be able to be saved.)
  3. Hi :)

DRAG and DROP, but as said it will take an hour or two...

    All the best Brett :)
