When I get my mail on my Nokia 6600 it does
not only get the headers of my mails, but
download the content of all mails.
Very inconvinient, because it takes time and
mostly I only want to see specific mails.

After it has finished updating the inbox, press cancel when it starts
downloading the emails.

Is there not a way to change the parameters, on WHAT is downloaded?? Mybe
this needs to be done from your pc, with your ISP.
When I retrieve e mails using my 6600, all I see are the headers, in as much
as who it is from, and then the subject line.
If I then want to read the e-mail I have to "select" that mail, for it to
download to my 6600. As an alternative, having seen the "from", and
"subject" line I am able to delete "from phone" or "from phone and server".
Don't know whether this helps or not, but is proof that you only need to see
the header lines.
Good luck

Thanks for your answer!!
As far as I know, a header takes - I guess - less than 500 bytes. If I
compare
the number of Kb received when I get my mails, this number is definately
much, much
bigger. So my conclusion is that content of all mail are downlaoded.
And that also includes all the spam-mails.
I have been using a Psion since 1996 (fiorst 3a then 5mx), and if I compare
the time it
takes to get a list of mails on Psion versus Nokia 6600, my Psion 5mx wins
very convinsing!!!
You know: old technology!!
Best regards
Søren
