Removed Soundcard - Now no sound

Hi!

So on my old computer, (Acer Aspire - M1100 Model) I installed an M-Audio Audiophile 192 soundcard.

Before I installed this soundcard, the built-in audio worked fine. I later removed the Audiophile soundcard and now, for the life of me, I cannot seem to get audio working.

The on-board sound no longer works and I don't know why. But when I put the soundcard back it, it works. I've tried numerous things.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

have you tried uninstalling the sound card driver and enable the onboard sound driver via device manager if it's disable.

Could be onboard sound was disabled in BIOS?
