Removed Soundcard - Now no sound

Hi!

So on my old computer, (Acer Aspire - M1100 Model) I installed an M-Audio Audiophile 192 soundcard.

Before I installed this soundcard, the built-in audio worked fine. I later removed the Audiophile soundcard and now, for the life of me, I cannot seem to get audio working.

The on-board sound no longer works and I don't know why. But when I put the soundcard back it, it works. I've tried numerous things.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?
