[Solved] Can ddr3 video card work on ddr2 motherboard

I bought a Asus HD6570 with DDR3 and placed it in the slot PCIE PC will not boot up.
The PC boot up with the old graphics card as well as with the onboard graphics
MB - P4M900T-M2 Elite group

of course it works whether you have ddr1 mobo although you can put ddr3 video card without any trouble so please can you explain it in more details?
