Help ATA100 vs U160 SCSI

Hi Newbie here,
I plan on building a relatively fast system and I was wondering if there was a major performance advanage using a U160 10K hard drive over a ATA100 7200K drive? Is it worth the cost of the controller card and drive? The system will be mostly used for gaming, but I'll probably do a little video editing too. Any advice or sugguestions are greatly appreciated.

No, it's not really worth the cost (unless you just don't care). I'd recommend doing 2 IDE hard drives in a RAID 0, though. It's a bit spendy, but has good performance.
