i am preparing to buy two EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics cards i was wondering how much power wattage i would need to support these and my system. and here's my current system:

Processor (AMD FX-4100 CPU (4x 3.60GHz/4MB L2 Cache)
Motherboard (Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 -- AMD 970))
Memory (8 GB [2 GB X4] DDR3-1800 Memory Module)
Power Supply (600 Watt - Standard))
Processor Cooling (Liquid CPU Cooling System [AMD] - Standard 120mm Fan))
Primary Hard Drive (1 TB HARD DRIVE -- 32M Cache, 7200 RPM, 6.0Gb/s - Single Drive))

Well it would be 600w or bigger and make sure you get a good brand like Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, and XFX type brands.

Yes you should and you are on top of it so I don't need to post PSU's for you. You can get to them on my links just type in the serch on the pages 750w and hit enter and you will see them all.

Your 550's are at the bottom of the 5xx series list and they are not all that great. Just two of them in SLI can't even come close to a 560 ti. Just thought you should know.

I would have done different if I had known in the begining with 560 ti's but I didn't even know of this site. Anyway I wish you good luck on your new rig.
