Non-OC Ivy Bridge $800-900 Build

Hi Everyone,

I haven't built a computer in over 10 years so I'm a little rusty on the matter. I thought I would start with an non-oc build and later once I get the hang of it maybe switch to a oc verison in the future. (couple years down the road)

Approximate Purchase Date:This Weekend 06/30/2012

Budget Range: $800-900

System Usage from Most to Least Important:gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies

Parts Not Required:keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com

Country: USA

Parts Preferences: Corsair 300R Case & Radeon 7850

Overclocking: No

Crossfire: Maybe at a later date

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I do not want to use the stock Heatsink & fan

Thanks for taking the time to look.

  1. An Ivy Bridge build under 900 is pushing it. I suggest going for a i5 setup. However you get these components for

Thats $969 all up. Which is a good build for that price. Im sure you can gather up an extra 69 buks. However if you want a aftermarket cooler, go for the kuhler 920,

Thats probably the best you can get. You can lower the PSU to a 650w and save another 30 bucks, but if you are going to overclock and get sli/crossfire like you mentioned then stick with the one i put there. Hope i helped
