Need help on my build!

Few questions.

First, is my build as good as can be (for the price)? Do i have too many unnecessary things attached?

Also, why do people advise building a PC (via newegg) if cyberpower prices are nearly identical if i were to build it myself.

I included the mouse/keyboard into the price, and they are just about exactly the same (give or take 5-10$)

I would use the 500 watt psu they recommend

probably upgrade the processor to the 3550

and include a ~60 gig SSD as a cache drive

Are you sure downgrading to the 500 watt psu is safe?
