I can get a HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 256Bit for 65$ at local store, and i wonder if that card offers good performance for that amount of money.
I can also get an HD 6770 DDR5 128bit for 110$ there so im wondering, is the HD 6770 worth the money over the HD 4850?
I i not interested in overclocking, card will be used for gaming at 1440X900 Widescreen and i would like to be able to get a mix of medium/high settings on most modern games. I know that hd 6770 has DX11 but i hear that using DX11 gives an performance hit on game framerates. If that is true i wont be using the DX11.
Is there a big gap in performance from GDDR3 to GDDR5?
So which card is more worth the money?

Il go with the HD 4850 the as i don't see the dx11 being useful for me.The game im getting this PC for is Skyrim which doesn't even have the dx11 features.
Any recomendations on a good CPU for around 70-80$? iv been thinking of a sandy bridge pentium g840.

Yeah the G840 will be good for the price. I'm using a G620 and so far I'm not disappointed. It can run Skyrim on high settings(using a HD6750) but I keep it on low due to some RAM problems I've been having.

Hello,
I want play new videogames, but my pc doesn't collaborate..
so i have a cpu intel pentium E5700 (dual-core 3.00GHz), a 1680x1050 monitor, 4gb ram and an nvidia geforce 8400GS. I think that the weak point is the graphic card, isn't it?
someone had suggested me the hd6770 or the hd4850. so i have the same problem of axew. Which one do you suggest me?
thanks

What are the prices

thanks for tour suggestion!
but only a question, do you know if is it possible to order the item and ship it to Italy? how much would that cost? :)

I still vote for 6770, it's newer, consume less power, produce less heat, and more future proof. HD4850 is an old beast, so you'll better with newer tech...

Oh wait, your CPU is E5700, right? So I guess you mobo only support PCIE 1.0 or 1.1, so you might want to stay with old card.
