For my new build i wondering should i get a intel or amd processor. Its for gaming. I have picked 2 but would like to see what is better or just as good. I would prefer a Intel but if an amd is just as good i might chose it.

Intel i5-3450 http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/Inte...

Amd Phenom ii - http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-HDZ965FBGMBOX-Phenom-II-965...

depends if you are getting a very good graphics card get the Intel. If you are getting an average or low graphics card get the AMD and use the difference to get a better graphics card (as the graphics card is what limits most games)

Intel usually is always better than AMD, when we're talking about mid range for gaming, the main CPU's people recommend tend to be the i5 3570k, and the 2500k.

If you go for AMD then I'd advise looking at Phenom II x4's like the 965, 955 and 980 which are all rather cheap.
If your on a budget get AMD if not, Intel all the way.

You'd be better of getting a Phenom II and a better GPU, than an i5 and a more mediocre graphics.

I've chosen these GPU's to think about getting

GTX650 Ti 1Gb- http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Card...

EVGA GF GTX 660Ti 2GB- http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-660Ti-GDDR5-Graphics-Card/...

AMD sapphire - http://www.amazon.com/SAPPHIRE-Radeon-6870-GDDR5-Graphi...

SO if i get one of these which processor should i get?

I will say 6870.
But if possible, it might be better to get the "current" generation nvidia 6xx or radeon 7xxx.

Take whichever CPU you can afford with the 660ti (obviously the Intel is better but if that means you get the 650ti its a bad choice)
