Best $400 Build

I'd like a verdict on the following hardware, about to construst first APU rig:

  2. How come you want to put a micro atx moterboard in a mid tower case? What brand of powersupply is that? What are you planning to use this computer for? Gaming? If so, what games?
  3. Did you try to find the cheapest motherboard you could? Don't.

    Get one that can support faster ram, and then get faster ram.

    APUs scale extremely heavily depending on RAM speeds, since they don't benefit from dedicated DDR5 VRAM.
  4. What is the primary use of this rig? For $400, I would rather make a LGA1155 Pentium rig. It would perform MUCH better for gaming while giving you a reasonable upgrade path.
