yes jpishgar that is precisely what I did. alas that only works if you HAVE another address :-) since I have a domain I just use another alias. I am not sure what will happen if you change it to a fictitious address and then change it back again.
When you are logged in, click on your profile name in the upper-right hand corner.
Select "Manage my profile". Then go to Account settings. Change your email address to something else, then change it back. It will send the email confirmation message. Click on the link in the message to reconfirm your email account.
