Asus router rt-n12 problems

The Asus RT-N12 router works for a couple of hours without any problem however it refuses to operate even with the LAN after working for about 12 hours. I reboot the router but without accord. I have to set up the old router and try it again with the Asus router the other day. The same thing happens again, the router works for a couple of hours and then refuses to work. Do anyone know how to deal with this problem?

use DD-WRT firmware made mine run very stable. Found this even recommended by ASUS support.

I did install the dd-wrt firmware and the router then works well with my netbook running on Window 7. But I have trouble in getting connected with the wireless router with my laptop running on Window Vista. I did quite a number of attempts but failed.

usually a router does not know the difference between Win7, Vista, XP, Mac, or Linux.

it could be a Vista/driver problem
