If I was a database engineer I might. Clearly there aren't very high
standards for quality in job performance, so you probably can get away with
screwing off most of the time.

I can't get a job as developer, because I'm lacking experience

That's my problem. I'm an experienced database administrator and designer,
I write heavy automation tools that border on AI at times, and I regularly
tweak projects designed to handle hundreds of thousands of connections with
little tolerance for lag. I'm used to working in a fast-paced environment
with almost no structure or oversight, in a place where a minor error or
lapse can blow up very quickly.

But I don't have much game programming experience, so I'm useless to them I
suppose... even if it's obvious that they haven't done so well with the
programming that doesn't involve the interface. :)

I'm a highly experienced game designer that has worked on only high-end,
high-volume games and I'm also a world renowned trauma room brain surgeon.
My job description involves making the right decisions in an organized
fashion. There is no room for delays, inaccuracies, or half-done work.

Xanex....UndeadRogueazon, therefore, I could never work at Blizzard.

Well, brain surgeons don't actually do much "trauma" work.

Yes, they will happily drill holes in your head in the emergency
room parking lot if they have to reduce swelling, drilling 3 holes
and saying "Nurse, have my bowling ball cleaned and waxed,
please," but most brain surgery is well thought-out, planned in
advance, and discussed ad nauseum with collegues, first.

Again, all traits that would prove you're not Blizzard material...
;-)

Aha! I KNEW Mississippi was good for something! Well, I mean, it's gotta

I've never really worked in the game industry, and I know the interface and
world design is pretty intricate...

....but I've also seen how much trouble they have with design aspects
(communications, server coordination and ballancing, etc) that other
industries excel in. They do work manually (ie much of their GM support,
etc) that is simpler than much of the work I've seen automated (personally,
my specialty is automation of administrative tasks). They often have entire
workgroups devoted to tasks that rival (slight sarcasm) the work I've seen
done by a single industrious individual. Many of their AI problems are due
to how interliked all their npc's are, and from what I understand some of
their more infamous bugs (respawn screwups, etc) are due to the fact that
they're dependant on a number of functions in one program functioning
properly, rather than a group of seperate oversight programs monitoring and
issuing respawn orders from the outside.
