monitor trouble after installing network card

hi, well i did those blanking plates at last, yet my brother and i have noticed that on restart the monitor does not seem to function now that we have installed our network cards. - changing the pci slot does nothing at all - please help asap/.

I ran into that problem once. I upgraded to a better net card and suddenly the monitor wouldn't initialize. I never got it to work and bought a different brand of card instead. It was an AMD700 on an FICSD-11. A Netgear FA312 card wouldn't work so I ran a D-Link.
